Early days …
many members of the class of 1967 started first grade at the Lab School in September, 1955
  • Genie, Fern, Harry, Ed McCallum and Guy enjoy Cokes at a first grade picnic

In the fall of 1955 the first grade class went to the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Note the canvas tent in the background. This was one of the last times the circus was held under the Big Top.

Third grade Brownie Troop meetings were held at Rachel Watt’s house. Troop leaders were Rachel’s mother, Libba Watt, and Fran’s mother, Eva Calhoun

  • We still had a lot of growing up to do, though!
